It seems we still don’t have a firm idea as to who built the Great Pyramid and when.
It seems very likely that Howard Vyse faked the quarry marks and cartouches in Davison’s chamber of the Great Pyramid, linking the building to Pharoah Khufu. The hieroglyphics used were incorrect for the that period and the misspelling of Khufu’s name was to be found in a text book contemporary with Vyse’s lifetime.
More convincing, it seems to me, are the clues and observations that support the pyramid being built nearer 12,500 years ago.
